Essential Music Theory

Essential Music Theory meets the latest requirements for RCM theory. Each level here, from Level 1 to 10, matches the requirements set out by the latest theory syllabus. Levels 1 through 8 cover rudiments.   Level 9 is Harmony, and Level 10 is Harmony and Counterpoint.

Essential Music Theory Levels 1-3, Levels 4-6, and Levels 7-8 are compilations of the first eight books. These are useful if students are skipping a practical grade and don't want to miss a theory level. Levels 1-3 go along the the practical levels (piano, violin, etc) 1, 2, and 3. Levels 4-6 go along with practical levels 4, 5, and 6, etc.
